Do I need a doctor's orders to start therapy?

As of November 1, 2014 Oklahoma State Law allows you to have DIRECT ACCESS to your PHYSICAL THERAPIST (Please check with your therapist for direct access questions). However, some insurance companies still require a prescription from a doctor for payment (Please see the receptionist about your insurance requirements) Please give us a call if you have any questions 405-732-3353.

Will my insurance cover treatment?

Check with your insurance company to be certain. Also, check our list of contracted insurances on our "Patient Information Page" to verify if your insurance is listed. If you would like, our Insurance Verification Officer can contact your insurance company to verify benefits for you. Some insurance companies require a PCP referral (a referral is a request from your primary care physician (PCP) to your insurance company) before treatment can begin.

What is the difference between a copay and coinsurance?

A copay is a set amount of money that is due from you on each visit. A coinsurance payment is a percentage of covered services due from you on each visit. Your insurance policy determines which and how much will be due.

What do I do if I can't pay my copay?

Your recovery is of the utmost importance to Regional Physical Therapy, Inc. Please notify us if you are unable to pay. We will be happy to make a financial arrangement with you.

What is the earliest/latest appointment you take?

All of our clinics see our first patients each morning at 7:30AM.

Our Midwest City clinic schedules our last appointment at 6:30PM Monday - Thursday.

Our South OKC Clinic & Edmond Clinic schedules our last appointment at 5:30PM Monday - Thursday.

All of our clinics see our last patients at 5:00PM on Fridays.

Are you open on Saturday?

Yes! Our Midwest City clinic is open on Saturday from 9:00AM - 2:00PM.

How long will physical therapy take (appointments, long term)?

Your initial evaluation will take approximately an hour and a half (1.5) to two (2) hours. Your regular appointments will take approximately one hour, depending on complexity of treatment.

Usually our patients come to therapy for 12-24 visits, which usually run 4-8 weeks (on average).

What should I wear for my physical therapy appointment?

Your appointment will most likely include some type of physical activity; therefore, we recommend clothing that allows you to comfortably exercise in our gym setting.

Do I need to attend all of my sessions?

Yes! Our Physical Therapists work with you to develop a "game plan" that best fits your needs. We want you to see results so that you can get back to doing the things you need to be able to do, want to be able to do, and to also help prevent further injury. Not completing treatment will keep you from recovering fully and getting stronger.

Can I participate in the "Fun Days" at RPT?

YES! We have our "Fun Days" so that our employees and patients can enjoy their time at the clinic. We enjoy working hard and having a good time while we do it. So look for signs around our clinic letting you know what our upcoming "Fun Day" will be!
