What's The Easiest Stretch To Reduce Back Pain?

Posted by Vicki on 02/28/2017

Most of us spend too much of our day in a seated position. We sit to drive, we sit to work, and we sit to watch TV. Too much sitting leads to lower back pain. A simple exercise that reverses the curve in your lower back can reduce the hours spent with your back in the flexed position of sitting.

Travel can combine the sitting posture with the bumps of car or plane rides that will put a significant amount of stress on your disks. Top it off with lifting suitcases can make for a miserable trip. Try the exercise below for 5 minutes twice a day and your back will thank you.

Lie down on your stomach and prop up on your elbows for 3-5 minutes. Just let your lower back relax and sink into a nice curved posture. This reduces stress on the disks.

If you or someone you know has back pain, feel free to give us a call and we can set you up with a free screening and get you on the road to recovery.
