As winter approaches, we have a tendency to stay indoors and can get a touch of cabin fever, also known as, seasonal affective disorder. It presents as depression that is of slow onset during the autum and winter months. To help avoid seasonal affective disorder you can begin now with several actions. Certain lights or tanning bed therapy have been prescribed to help you with the longer winters nights as it mimicks the sun. Exercise and keeping active will also help off set the symptoms that are created during the "winter blues".
